Channeling Rembrandt

Sometimes my creativity overflows and I have to try new things. Because I have most often photographed using natural light (even in the studio), I wanted to dust off my strobes and attempt to capture more of a Rembrandt or Old World style just for the fun of it. This little one and her mom have been photographed by me in the past a few times, and I thought they’d be perfect for this because the man of the house is a big-time hunter and has a house full of taxidermy!! I knew I needed a turkey. I also knew it’d be a challenge to capture a live one. So Chuck came to the rescue and lent this one for our session, which worked out pretty near perfect! Sara looked awesome as our little pilgrim girl and the huge old book is an old old Bible which was given to us by my father-in-law. I love both of these images and had a great time playing with Sara and her mom!!
